Two of a kind

I find this totally facinating, as people often say to me "you look just like my best friend/cousin/co-worker/favorite aunt". For a long time, I assumed I had a generic face. I've started to take these comments as compliments, as the person I'm normally compared to is someone that makes the commenter happy - so maybe something in me is sparking a happy memory?

Or, maybe I just have dozens of doppelgangers out there in the world!

That is so funny - I get the comment a lot too. And have always thought I just had a generic face, you know, the proverbial girl next door. I like how you think of it. Seeing you, thinking of you, opening a brightly colored card from you, putting it on my desk and looking at it throughout the day, all of these things make me happy too!

I actually have at least two doppelgangers who've confused my Mum, Gran and Alison. I've seen a couple of them myself, but didn't manage to speak to them. I suspect my parents of being involved in some sort of secret cloning project...

Alcluith, that's incredible that someone could fake out your own mom!

I think you should write a blog post about how these doppelgangers came to be.

...once upon a time, in the seventh decade of the last century of the millenum past, a woman gave birth to identical twin girls...
